Internship

GRAB AAUW is seeking graduate and undergraduate students for the Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter.  This is a non-paid internship that will enable you to network and interact with people in leadership positions in the greater Rochester education, government, and business arenas. This is an excellent career-building opportunity for innovative thinkers interested in promoting gender equality.

MEET OUR PAST AND PRESENT INTERNS AT GRAB AAUW

Elizabeth Lenz (Social Media Intern)Elizabeth Lenz is our Social Media Intern.

Elizabeth Lenz is a senior at Nazareth College, studying communications, marketing, and history.

Elizabeth updates our social media with pertinent articles and news feeds on womens’ issues and engages members and friends on topics dear to AAUW.

Outside of this, Elizabeth is the Associate Editor of Nazareth’s The Golden Gazette, and works part time with the AHL’s Rochester Americans and at Alex and Ani.

Elizabeth Marie Sciavolino (Policy Intern)Elizabeth Marie Sciavolino is a Public Policy Intern.

Elizabeth has a Masters degree in Critical Methodologies from King’s College in London.

Elizabeth is embedded in the Rochester community as an alum of University of Rochester and a mental health case manager at East House.

Working with GRAB, she specifically hopes to learn about how policies are created and how they work to improve the lives of the people they serve.

Rebecca Bergman (Intern)Rebecca Bergman is a working on various projects with GRAB, including helping to get the word out on COPE and researching and writing grant proposals.

Becca is in her senior undergraduate year at University of Rochester, studying Neuroscience. On campus, Becca works at the Susan B. Anthony Center.

Becca is researching and helping to write grants to fund the Women helping Girls program.

Becca is excited to become more involved with the AAUW and I thank all its members for what they do for this community.

GRAB shannonShannon DeHoff has worked on various projects with GRAB, including writing letters to legislatures and congress proposing putting Harriett Tubman on the $10 bill. Shannon is in her junior year at St John Fisher College, as an English major with a writing concentration and a minor in political science. She is an esteemed feminist who is passionate about advocating for equality. Shannon looks forward to having the opportunity to grow, give back to the community, and build her professional network.
